To the Brave Women of Yak Attack – A Tribute
**To the Brave Women of Yak Attack – A Tribute**
From racers to companions, every woman at Yak Attack showed immense courage, strength, and heart. This is a small note of appreciation and admiration for the incredible women who made this journey unforgettable for me.

Abbe – The Firecracker of Energy**
Abbe is a woman with infectious charm and boundless energy. Fierce, playful, and full of life, she brought a spark to every moment. We’re connected on socials, and every time I see her work as a fitness coach—personalizing sessions and inspiring others—it fills me with joy. Despite her fierce presence, she has a childlike spirit that’s so endearing. Abbe, your energy was so welcoming—it made me feel like I truly belonged at this event. You helped make the whole process less stressful, especially when I was nervous about interacting with foreigners. Without you, I might’ve been overwhelmed!

Deb (Doda) – The Calm Strength**
Doda radiates a calm, nurturing energy. Unlike Abbe’s fiery vibe, she’s the kind of fierce that comes with experience and quiet wisdom. Always curious, always kind-she kept checking in on me, making sure I wasn’t idle, gently encouraging me to help Usha di and others. She helped me manage things at a steady pace and offered life advice that I’ll carry with me: to study hard now, because this is the time to grind, and the results will follow. She asked about my mom and reminded me to never limit myself. Doda and Dod (Amir) were truly the best.

Meghan – The Sweet Warrior**
Meghan might look intimidating at first, but she’s a total sweetheart. A firefighter by profession, she raced with incredible strength and finished second—what a feat! Despite falling ill and getting injured, she showed up with calm determination and completed the race. We’ve stayed in touch, and every time I think of her, I’m reminded of what it means to be resilient and kind. Salute to you, Meghan!

Usha Di – The Tigress**
I’ve admired Usha di for a long time, and during Yak Attack, she showed me exactly why. From being the backbone of the race to finishing first—all while battling food poisoning—her strength is unmatched. She made me feel safe and inspired. Not everyone can handle such pressure, but she did it with grace and grit. Her presence commands respect, and I see that admiration in everyone’s eyes. She’s intimidating, yes—but in the most powerful way. One day, I hope I’ll grow comfortable around her fierce aura.

Kabita Di – The Silent Strength**
I had the honor of sharing a room with Kabita di throughout the trip. Like me, she was new to this world – but in many ways, she was much stronger. She wasn’t just part of the event; she was racing. And she’s a cancer patient. I remember constantly worrying about her as she crossed Thorong La. Her courage and determination moved me deeply. In her, I saw glimpses of my mother—a woman who never stops, no matter the challenge. Kabita di, your strength is unforgettable. I salute you.
