If It’s Meant for You, It’s Gonna Happen Anyway…
The Story of “If It’s Meant for You, It’s Gonna Happen Anyway”
I’ve pretty much applied this belief to many things in life now-from rejecting offers to declining various opportunities-solely with the hope that if it’s meant for me, it will happen anywa
Here’s a quick story.
I’m not really great at cycling, but I love it. I love the people who cycle, the energy, the freedom. As a woman, I was looking for a group with more female participation, because Cycle Connect Bhaktapur doesn’t have many women riders. While scrolling through Facebook, I stumbled upon a group of girls, ladies-cycling to places, exploring trails. I was instantly drawn in.
I kept wondering, Who is this sister who initiated such a beautiful movement? That’s when I found Asmita Rajbansi.
Fast forward a month-there was a Jatra happening in Thimi or somewhere nearby. I went alone to see what was going on. Amidst the crowd and noise, I saw Asmita Di and other Women Cycling Nepal members. I wasn’t on a cycle, and the environment was too chaotic to have a proper conversation. The day ended, and I felt a little sad. Why didn’t I bring my cycle? Maybe then I would’ve had a better chance to talk with her.
But life had other plans.
Later, I was invited to an event by Dr. Tara Lal Shrestha. And of course, being me, I love connecting with people-so I went. And guess what? Asmita Di was there. I finally got to talk with her, and she invited me to join a ride the next day.
And yes-I had fun. Riding with all girls, trying new things without fear, knowing I wouldn’t be judged. That feeling of safety was everything.
Though I haven’t joined them again since, I still remember the ride to Bhanjyang Trail. We pushed each other up. No one was left behind. No one was rushing. Afterward, we had a little picnic moment, clicked tons of photos, and yes-the day was happy.
If its meant for you its gonna happen anyway be it meeting with people or just getting new opportunities.
