The steps came as another ended
Yet to my dismay
Nobody seemed to pick it up.

Even as one among many fell victim,
Tripped by its careless rest
I, too, walked past in silence-
For the show must go on I guess.

Alas, what crime had “it” done,
That none would stop, not even one?
To pick it up, to set it aside
The questioned “it” in question:
A Bottle of finished coca-cola

Who will teach the child what’s right, when no one stops to see
I wonder as i see,
Some kid littering the ancient pavements,
Very pavements where god and goddess wanders
This pretty docile human walks
